NERO

Imagine a gadget that harks back to classic, vintage sounds yet embraces ingenuity and forward-thinking design. That’s the Nero Fuzz.
At its heart is a rich FUZZ gain stage that beautifully cascades into a steadfast GLADIO SC circuit; a combination designed to unlock new realms of musical flexibility.
Equipped with two independent bias controls, you can effortless transition between tones with the click of a footswitch.
We’ve transformed the extraordinarily complex into the beautifully simple!
Not just another fuzz.
Merge an original fuzz circuit with an entire built-in Gladio SC.
This is the NERO.
The Nero pedal combines a unique fuzz circuit with a built-in Gladio SC, activating both circuits simultaneously for a stacked drive effect. It features a "Comp" knob for compression management, altering overall compression, and two independent bias controls ("voices") for a range of fuzz and overdrive tones. Notably, Nero allows for flexible gain control, maintains high input impedance for pedalboard versatility, offers constant compression adjustment, and seamlessly transitions between gritty fuzz and full overdrive with a footswitch. It also achieves gated fuzz and nice cleanup effects under specific conditions.
The NERO includes a "Comp" knob that manages compression by blending the sound from the Fuzz section with the Gladio SC section in parallel, thereby adjusting overall compression.
The switch between voice 1 and voice 2 can also be done with an external latching footswitch. This is ideal for use with looper switchers or when the pedal itself is not easily accessible, such as with multilevel pedalboards.
Often, fuzz pedals are used alongside overdrives when it's not feasible to use the fuzz directly on a slightly dirty amp. The NERO already provides this functionality, as it consists of a Fuzz section followed by an entire Gladio SC which, simulating the behavior of a preamp, it allows for a manageable and rounded final tone.
Forget about the typical low input impedances of fuzz pedals, which force you to place the fuzz as the first effect in the chain. The NERO offers a 1 Mega Ohm impedance, allowing it to be placed anywhere in the pedalboard.
Two different voices.
For any situation
The voice controls are identical and independent bias controls, and you can switch between them instantly, with the dedicated footswitch. The sound is gritty and rough in the first half rotation, and rolling down the guitar volume creates a nice gated tone. After noon, the sound becomes a full, big overdrive, which cleans up nicely when the guitar volume is turned down.
Compression under control.
At all times.
The Comp is the clean of the Gladio SC which, being hit from a fuzz in front, can’t be called “clean” anymore. Since it controls the amount of fuzz signal allowed to “pass-by” the SC section (it actually is a real parallel mix) its effect is to manage the overall compression.

Finally a fuzz for my clean amp! I’m a clean amp player and a clean-up-with-the-volume-pot fuzz lover and this pedal checks all my boxes. The sound is thick if I want it to be and the versatility of the two voices is fantastic as well. 100% recommended.

Cornerstone pedals have always been a picture of class, but the Nero is sophistication cranked to eleven!
This pedal is a rich, full-bodied banquet of sound. Think of the most decadent Cabernet Sauvignon swirling in your glass, ready to dazzle your palette — that, my friends, is what my ears feasted upon.
This fuzz isn’t just for show; it’s about feel, about expression. Thump it hard with a pick and it roars back with a textured growl. Tease it with the soft touch of your fingers and it responds with warmth and soulful character. My guitar’s volume knob? More like my personal conductor’s baton, cleaning up the fuzz as smoothly as a maestro commands silence.
Stacking this beauty with my overdrive pedals provides a tasting menu of tonal delights. Much like a master chef, the Nero allowed me to layer flavour upon flavour into an auditory feast.
The switchable voices though — I’ve got two different fuzz frenzies to flick between, and flick I did! Oh, the creative doors this has opened up in my playing – talk about being spoiled for choice!
Let there be no confusion. This pedal isn’t merely an accessory; it’s a treasure trove of dynamic versatility, the new cornerstone (pun intended) of my sound. You’d best believe it’s got pride of place on my board, and I dare say it might just have set a new standard for what I expect from a fuzz pedal.
Consider this my love letter to the Cornerstone Nero, the fuzz pedal that has truly redefined the riffing experience for me. If the proof is in the pudding, then this pedal is an absolute cracker. Highly recommended for all who wish their licks laden with a touch of luxury!

As always with Cornerstone, you have to try to say….. wow i didn’t know i need a fuzz.
Cause this is not just a fuzz. I bought a fuzz face one year ago and after two or three times i put it back in the box. Here u have something different, it’s a blend between an od and a fuzz, and what an od (gladio Sc). The only problem u will have after buying this it’s always the same…. U must change your pedalboard…. Damn’t

If you’ve been looking for the right fuzz for a long time, it’s probably this one. I have a lot of fuzzes and they’re all fun but I couldn’t find the “right” one for me until Nero dropped. Nero has lead me to my favorite sounds I’ve experienced so far in my guitar playing journey. It pairs beautifully with other drives, isn’t finicky about location in a chain, responds to rolled off guitar volume SO well and just has so many useable sounds in it. Antique v3 is definitely next on my list and I can’t wait to try more Cornerstone pedals!
